[ One horse on a virtual set, one da Vinci sex machine, a Berlinale screening, a chewing gum ad described as existentially threatening. And a debut feature shooting this summer. ]
A queer reimagining of the Marlboro Man. Johnny gives up smoking and falls in love with another man. We turned Frankfurt into Manhattan using Virtual Production. We had a live horse on set, an imported US police car, and a Backstreet Boys track. I handled direction, scripting, and financing myself to get it made.

Satirical climate spot shot for Klimawerbung e.V.
Contributed as AI Artist on this project — generating 27 unique futuristic retail environments that were projected onto the LED volume for a one-day Virtual Production shoot. The AI-generated worlds physically interacted with the real set, casting reflections onto products and faces. High-energy rap video contrasting a grey NO-World with a vibrant YO-World. Josia Brezing was born in 1997 in Aidlingen, German-Romanian. He worked as a news editor at regional TV before becoming the youngest student admitted to Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, later studying at London Film Academy and the UCLA Hollywood Workshop.
His work casually ignores the boundaries between comedy, documentary, and AI production. A Nextbike spot set in a red-light district won him the Deutscher Wirtschaftsfilmpreis, closely followed by a Clio nomination for a queer Marlboro Man reimagining. After his short film screened at the 73rd Berlinale, he recently shifted scales, generating 27 AI environments for a global MediaMarkt campaign.
His debut feature Glitzer im Gesicht shoots summer 2026 with SWR and WDR. He runs NO NOTES, a filmmaker-first AI studio based between Berlin and Ludwigsburg.
“I once directed a spot that was described as ‘existentially threatening.’ It was for a chewing gum brand.”
